#149: The Ten Words

We’ve been studying the book of Exodus together, and this morning, we come to one of the most famous stories in all of Scripture: The Ten Plagues of Egypt. These plagues are a marvelous display of the awesome power of God. Psalm 145:4-7 says this: “He determines the number of the stars; he gives to all of them their names. Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond measure.”

#123: Be Strong in the Lord

In this week’s lesson, Richard dives into the Word to explore what being strong in the Lord is all about and how we can all be stronger in our faith and walk with God.

#122: Water, Bread, Wine

At the heart of our faith are three spiritual symbols that tie us to the saving work of Jesus. The bread and wine of the Lord’s Supper and the waters of our baptism unite us with the death and resurrection of Jesus and call us to a new way of life.

#120: Patience

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23. When Paul listed off these wonderful blessings that God is working in our lives, I think it’s easy to see that these are qualities not easily obtained by ourselves. Perhaps the fruit that we have the most problems with is the fruit of patience. Simply put: waiting for things is hard. Waiting on the Lord is even harder.
