Beauty and The Beasts

Welcome back to the podcast!
This week Richard takes a look at Mark 14: 1-11, a story that reflects two attitudes about Jesus: the beauty and the beasts. While the chief priests and Judas look for a way to arrest and kill Jesus, an anonymous woman enters uninvited into a dinner party and pours expensive perfume onto his head. Her act of extravagant love foreshadows the pouring out of Jesus’ blood on the cross. While the dinner guests complain about the waste of this valuable oil, Jesus praises the woman for doing all she can to prepare his body for burial.
She gave without knowing about the cross. How much more should we give to the Lord, having been redeemed by his blood? How extravagant is YOUR love?
